Review

There is one table game that all players at land-based casinos flock towards. Its name is baccarat and it has become the cornerstone of a casino's glamorous image. Baccarat is known as Punto Banco or Chemin De Fur and it's all the rage. Now Net Entertainment has developed a cracker of a game with their version of this high-roller's charm.

How does it work?

Unlike traditional table games, baccarat players can bet on the banker, the player or a tie. The latter option has a massive payout of 9 to 1. The payout rates are listed below - based on a game comprising 8 decks of cards:
  • Banker Odds - The house edge on the banker is 1.06%
  • Player Odds - The house edge on the player 1.24%
  • The house edge on a Tie is 14.36%

The baccarat professional series offered by Net Entertainment is a lavish game. The sprawling table is elegantly kitted out with a fine array of betting options, chip-stacks and nice-sized cards. Players are able to wager from a minimum of €10 to a maximum of €1,000 - making this a true whale's choice.

The goal is to score as close to 9 as possible. Note that unlike blackjack, players can't go bust in baccarat because the count restarts from 0 if 9 is exceeded. All face cards and 10s have a 0 value and other number cards have their nominal value. So for example a 10 + 7 = 17 (the baccarat value of this hand is 7). Likewise a 2+ J = 12 (the baccarat value is 2).
