Set up under the UK Gambling Act 2005 in 2005, the Gambling Commission (GC) regulates gambling in the public interest. It replaced the Gambling Board as the body responsible for keeping crime out of gambling, ensuring fair and open operations and protecting children and vulnerable people. |
Funded by the 2005 Gambling Act, the Gambling Commission, known in short as the GC, has an important role to fill as a regulator for the industry.
