Poker Players Alliance

The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) was formed as an organization to provide American poker players with a secure, safe and regulated place to play. Since 2006, when the ban on online gambling was sign into law, the PPA has directed much of its efforts and purpose to fight for the right to play, in its own words.

The PPA is a non-profit membership organization comprised of online and offline poker players who count over one million. It claims to speak on their behalf, in one voice, to promote the game and protect the right to play poker in all its forms.

Its main front is legal. The PPA defines its mission as establishing favorable laws that would make poker not only legal, but also secure, safe and regulate. Still, the PPA acts through education and raising awareness.
