Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative

The Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative promotes the principles of safe and secure Internet gambling through practices designed to protect consumers and ensure integrity of financial transactions.

Its goal is to promote and raise awareness for protection of consumers and safe Internet gambling transactions.

Additionally, the Initiative is a resource for information about the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act of 2007. The Initiative provides opportunities for individuals, organizations and companies to support the legislation and engage their elected officials.

Based in Washington, DC, the Initiative is obviously active locally, but understanding the nature of the world we live in, namely connected through the Internet and trade agreements, among others, has an eye open to global trends as well.

Among the organizations and companies that endorse the Initiative's mission to protect consumers and ensure integrity of Internet gambling transactions are: the independent standards authority eCOGRA, the rather new European association EGBA, valuable counsel and support organization GamCare and the RGA, which represents the world's largest licensed remote gambling companies.
