British Poker Awards

The British Poker Awards are an annual event held to honour the best players and personalities in the world of poker - both from Britain and abroad.

The public votes on awards in at least a dozen categories, including best international player, best cash player, best tournament player, best blogger, best social media user, best poker forum, and poker personality of the year. Player of the year, the most prestigious award, is chosen by a judging panel.

These awards are very public-friendly. Not only do you have a say in who wins, but the awards are a part of London's Poker in the Park festivities and therefore free to attend. In addition, one lucky voter wins a seat in London's Palm Beach Casino's weekly No Limit Hold'em tournament.

In 2011 the award is being held on the main stage at London's Hanover Square, on Saturday September 3rd at 3pm.
