Just about every online casino offers several variations of poker and video poker games. Omaha poker is related to Texas Holdem. Every player gets four hole (hidden) cards and 5 community cards are dealt face-up (showing). Players can then use 3 of the 5 community cards together with two of their hole cards to make the strongest poker hand possible combining 5 cards. Check your online casino for any additional rules, exceptions or variation to the game of Omaha poker.

One sub variation of the Omaha poker game (which is itself a variation of Texas Holdem) is Omaha Hi/Lo. Look for it at your favorite online casino. Hi/Lo is a split pot game meaning it is possible to have two winners. Players with the highest and the lowest hands will split the pot. This is also known as Omaha Eight or Better. In order to have a hand qualify as low there must be no cards higher than 8 in your five card hand. Since in Omaha you must use two cards from your hand, there must be three cards on the board that are eight or lower.

If there is no qualifying low hand the winner with the highest hand will win the whole pot. This is an exciting variation of poker that allows for multiple winners and can be found at poker online casino sites.  If you are a fan of poker variations then we suggestion you check out Omaha poker. You can play in free mode first to test out the software once you download it from an online casino.
