This type of gambler might be a problem gambler, or she might simply be the type of person who is ashamed of the stigma which is often associated with even the most entertaining sort of gambling - online or offline.
The problem with a shy gamblers is that while they might not have a gambling addiction problem, being secretive about their gambling might stop them from talking to someone when something goes wrong. In other words, it would probably be easier for someone who plays games in secret to abuse this form of entertainment more than someone who tells someone else "Hey, I'm playing games at an online casino." How can the shy gambler be drawn out? If you have your suspicions about someone who is participating in the gaming industry, just be up front and ask them. If they admit to it right away, or even invite you to play games too, then they probably are just playing for fun. However, if they deny it and you later discover that they were lying, something must be done so that their habit doesn't become a bad one. And if it has already gotten to this point, well.. it's not the end of the world, so long as you do something about it. |
Who is the shy gambler, the one who looks over his shoulders at his loved one as he makes a wager? The shy gambler is often the one who doesn't want people to know that he is a gambler in the first place.
