Gamblign site operators are accustomed to hearing that online poker is a risky affair. However, the rewards have proved that the risk is worthwhile. The game currently accounts for over half of the revenue generated by the industry and the demand for the latest poker games is greater than ever.

One of the most successful online poker companies is now Leisure & Gaming. Less than two years ago, the firm decided to develop its own poker site and today its business is valued at 92 million pounds sterling. Leisure & Gamings 2005 results revealed its profit was $13.2 million US dollars before tax. The firms revenues increased by 26 percent on the previous year, with its biggest increase generated by online poker.

As a result, the online poker firm is using its profits to fund several planned acquisitions in the industry. Development of bingo products is underway and the firm is currently negotiating deals to purchase several smaller gaming companies to solidify its interests outside the US.
