Women, Poker, and Online Gambling

Everyone knows about it now: the online casino is a revolution for women. Especially when it comes to poker. Many women had always been attracted to poker, maybe because of movies showing them as champions, or because of the feeling of power. But they were most of the time too shy to show up at the place, and sit at a table, surrounded by men only. Which is more than understandable, given the level of machismo of those gamblers! Well, thanks to the online invention, this is no longer a problem!

Women can now feel free to sit at any virtual table, without anyone actually knowing they are women. At least at the beginning! They can choose very masculine nicknames, and pretend they are very experienced gamblers while chatting. The point is not really to lie, but at least they will not be despised and discredited just for being women! And some actually do really well. They attend tournaments and highly expected championships. Some even make it to the finals!

And you think this could be a lesson for macho gamblers? Of course not! Many haven't changed their opinion and still laugh at a woman sitting at their poker tables, or worst, refuse to play against them. Fortunately, this will never happen, were everything is totally anonymous. And as long as gambling at the sites remains this way, women will keep on improving their skills...till the day men can really get scared of confronting them!
