NCAA Bracket Betting CollapsesSports bettors kiss their NCAA bracket predictions goodbye even before Sweet 16.

Northern Iowa beat top seed Kansas in the second round. Murray State triumphs over Vanderbilt (before falling to Butler). Georgetown falls to Ohio. Cornell over Temple, then Wisconsin, and looking strong. Sports bettors across the United States and the entire World Wide Web can kiss their Printable Brackets goodbye.

Though three number 1 seeds remain entering the Sweet Sixteen stage, there is a high level of excitement falling high level performances by surprise "mid-major" teams (soft-speak for "Cinderella").

Bracket makers, in printable form or offered by sports sites such as ESPN and CBSSports in easy to follow fashion online, are comfortable aids for bettors. To create your bracket there is hardly a need for pen and paper, courtesy of such sites.

But has the science of "bracketology" gone too far? Did it leave room for surprise? Or did you just end up crossing out your NCAA bracket predictions and picks?

Fortunately for you, bets are still open for individual NCAA matches. Kentucky is favorite in the planned March 26 game against Cornell at Titan Bet, but who knows?

And if you wish to go all out, in spite of the surprises that we've witnessed this past week, then William Hill Sports sets the odds for NCAA Champions on Kentucky, Duke, Syracuse and West Virginia, in that order.

With Betfair, the betting scheme is a bit different, as punters can lay their own bets on something happening, or not happening, challenging other punters. Are you willing to bet on a "mid-major" champion? Anything can happen.
