This is a unique and somewhat humorous idea for a betting concept (expect for the CEO of course). Betfair, a British online casino, will allow players to bet on whether 10 corporate leaders will be able to keep their jobs past April 30, 2005. Players can bet on whether William Owens, chief of telecoms equipment giant Nortel, and Royal Bank's Gord Nixon, will stay in the hot seat. At Betfair, gamblers bet against each other instead of a central bookmaker. Many of the CEOs chosen actually represent large corporations based in Canada.

Jordan Ferguson, Betfair's head of International sales, had this to say: "Canada's the first time we've done this because Canada's one of the market's where there's an enormous amount of interest in investment and in publicly traded companies." In the race to keep online casino gambling fresh, funny and interesting new ideas are constantly being tossed around. Donald Trump didn´t make this list this time around but you never know, he ma crop up on the list at some point in the future.
