Ex-apprentice Gets Hired by Online Casino

Online casinos recently have been pulling one publicity stunt after the other to promote themselves. We have witnessed everything from buying Britney Spear´s alleged home pregnancy kit to paying people for tattooing an online casino logo on their flesh. Now, a gambling ste has chosen to capitalize on the publicity or notoriety of Reality TV stars, as a publicity tool. Stacie J., an owner of a Subway sandwich shop branch in Harlem, NY and a previous contestant on NBC´s smash hit The Apprentice, was hired by an online casino.

Also a model and MBA graduate, Stacie J., was fired by Donald Trump on the third episode of the second season of his hit show. During each episode Trump fires one the contestants. Stacie J. was deemed as erratic by the other contestants and even by Trump himself. Right after being fired, she was hired by the Trinidad-based online casino, as a spokeswoman and an advisor. The timing in which Stacy J. was hired suggests that this could have been yet another promotional stunt.

Shortly prior to hiring her, the gambling site operator announced its intent to invest $400 million in Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts. The online casino ended up rescinding its offer, thus eliminating Stacie´s chances of ever working for Trump. The online casino claims that the reason why nothing got done because the talks with Trump´s executive reached a dead-end. However, if they were in fact serious about investing the money, then why did they go and hire her in the first place?
