Taking Bets on Next US Election
Adjust font size:
One online sportsbook has released their own odds on the candidates Americans might choose or at least want to see running in the 2008 presidential election in the US. One interesting prediction at the online casino taking bets is the high odds placed on women and minorities. This is obviously a prediction that the American political spectrum and climate is changing.
Right now the sportsbooks is offering some interesting odds on Hilary Clinton a 6-1 favorite, up against Republican Rudy Giuliani who is a 10-1 favorite. Some entertaining but not necessarily realistic presidential candidates posted at the online casino include film director Michael Moore, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Fox news hack Bill O´Reilly. Other noteworthy candidates who the online casino predicts may run in the 2008 elections are coming from the African American community. Right now Colin Powell is giving odds of 30-1, while Condoleezza Rice is listed as a 15-1 favorite. It would be the first time a presidential candidate who is a woman or a minority (or both) would be running in American history. Alex Czajkowski, Marketing Director for a sportsbook recently commented: Wagering on the US presidential election is far and away the most popular online novelty bet in the world, generating millions of dollars in revenue. With America politically divided and with mid-term Congressional elections heating up over the summer, the betting public is really interested in the odds right now. |
The 2008 US elections may not seem so close but some online casinos are already starting to post odds and speculate on potential future presidents.
