In addition to offering players the opportunity to gamble on reality TV shows such as Survivor, Dancing with the Stars and The Amazing Race, Bodog is now producing a reality show of its own. The immense popularity of reality shows sparked the success of The World Series Poker. Today, the WSOP enjoys huge ratings whenever it's aired on ESPN. In some way, you can say that the WSOP has all the ingredients of a reality show. The action is live and unscripted, plus you get to watch the drama unfolds before your very eyes. The online casino is looking to build on the same winning format, with its own show.

The show will follow 40 contestants including 20 Bodog registered poker players. Each week, the contestants will have a chance to put their poker skills to the test for the shot of winning $50,000 and a chance to compete for a half million dollars on the show's finale. Taping is scheduled to begin in March at the Bodog online casino headquarters in Costa Rica. Overall, the intended gambling oriented show is going to be comprised of six 2-hour episodes. The episodes are scheduled to air every Saturday starting April 15th, 2006.

The show will be hosted by the founder and CEO Calvin Ayre who recently commented on the show saying, Poker and television combined with Bodog-style entertainment will make for one heck of a show, and our next step into the world of reality TV. Ayre also said, We are on a mission to find the next poker star and eager to showcase the play hard aspects of the Bodog lifestyle.
