Warren Buffett Sells Ukulele
Adjust font size:
Warren Buffett's Ukulele can now be added to the list of online purchases along side a grilled cheese sandwich, xBox box with a picture of Jesus, William Shatner's kidney stones, Michael Jackson's racing license and more. So what does this particular online casino plan to get out of a $11,000 Ukulele? Free publicity of course!
Warren Buffett is a multi billionaire, and the second richest man in the world. The gambling site saw this item up for auction on EBay and decided to purchase it for just over $11,000. The Ukulele was being auctioned off for charity and the money will go to Omaha Children's Hospital. A spokesperson that won the Ukulele from Warren Buffet had this to say: "Warren Buffett is quite the icon for many, many people. He is involved in many charities, and to have our name even associated with him is quite an honor." The winning site has long history of paying exorbitant amounts of money for general useless and valueless items that are usually won through online auctions such as EBay. Though the money paid by the online casino may seem excessive, the amount of free advertising and publicity certainly makes up for it. |
An online casino with a reputation for the comical, bizarre, and sometimes downright outrageous, has made yet another strange purchase to add to their collection of useless artifacts.
