Mobile Entertainment Here To Stay
Adjust font size:
We can look back ten years and more to see the world reaction to the online casino industry that was only then springing. The Internet and its vast expansion has brought with it new forms of entertainment. Where the gambling industry is at today needs no introduction. Therefore it is an interesting practice of the imagination to compare the rise of the Internet and the online casino industry then with that of the mobile phones and mobile online casinos today.
Expectations for the future of mobile entertainment will not repeat any undervaluing which may have been the case in the past. Even today in its early stages, the mobile phone industry is expected to reach such enormous sums that exceed 45 billion dollars by the end of the decade alone. It is already valued at 17 billion dollars. The platform serves many forms of entertainment, among them television and Internet browsing, ring tones and pod casts. The online casino entertainment too is making its presence felt on the mobile scene. The rise in mobile phone popularity is mostly felt in the Asia Pacific region and in Europe, with both making up over a third of the global mobile entertainment revenues each. This corresponds well with the rise in online casino markets, also largely felt in these regions. One consultant from a leading online and mobile research group said it clearly: There are tremendous revenue opportunities for all value chain participants in mobile entertainment over the next few years. Busy lifestyles in both developed and developing markets means that consumers will have to grab entertainment and relaxation as and when they can. The gambling industry will ride on this trend for its own profitable future. |
As many of you know the rise of the Internet increase the industry, is the same thing predicated for the mobile one?
