New Poker Reality TV Show to Begin in August
A new poker reality television series is set to hit US screens in August, featuring four online poker players fighting for $2 million in prize money. "2 months, $2 million", to be broadcast on cable channel G4, will feature Jason "Pr1nnyraid" Rosenkrantz, Dani "Ansky" Stern, Emil "Whitelime" Patel and Brian "Flawless Victory" Roberts in 10-half hour episodes. The four players, who will each put in their own money, will be attempting to collectively make $2 million playing online poker in two months. Launched in 2002, G4 TV is an American cable and satellite television channel geared toward male viewers aged 12-36. It includes general interest programming and shows devoted to the world of video games. This is the channel's first foray into the world of poker reality TV. "There was something there that represented a lifestyle our audience is fascinated with. Every young guy wishes they could have this lifestyle, so it was very appealing to men aged 18 to 34, which is the majority of our demographic," said G4 TV vice president Laura Civiello. "It's a huge challenge. That's part of the fun of the show, watching them go on this incredible journey. For our audience, both the stakes and the lifestyle are the whole package. You want to come back to see if they win or lose." |
