It has been confirmed: Boyzone celebrity Shane Lynch is the latest recruit to sign up with Ladbrokes Poker. The singer and drifting superstar is eager to pit his skills against fellow poker players in online poker rooms.

Poker is the game that everyone can enjoy
The contract is set to run a full year through March 2011 and will see Shane being sponsored by Ladbrokes. Drifting is the Boyzone star's pet love and he's pretty proficient at it. This motor sport is fast and furious and it's the latest craze to sweep across the United Kingdom.

Ladbrokes Poker agrees to sponsor Shane and he will agree to try his hand at poker. That way he'll be a role model for other novice poker players. Shane is excited about the prospect and is keen to get out of the starting blocks.

The Irish Poker Festival
During the 2008 Ladbrokes.com Irish Poker Festival, Shane played his first big leagues poker when he substituted for Ronan Keating. The deal he has signed will see him pitting his skills at multiple poker games including live tournaments; live VIP style poker and the WSOP in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ladbrokes weighs in with some cash
If Irishman Shane does well in his poker endeavours - at least ending in the top 100 - then Ladbrokes has committed itself to providing £1,000 to the charity of Shane's choice. He started his poker love affair at the Manchester 235 Casino, during his first Ladbrokes VIP poker event in early March.

Shane is eager to get on the poker bandwagon with Ladbrokes and perhaps become a bit of a player in the process. Ladbrokes is a leading online poker room. It sports fantastic sign-up bonuses and access to quality poker tournaments. Games include Texas Holdem, single-table tournaments, multi-table tournaments, plus a full range of games including, 5 Card Draw, 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud and Razz 7 Card Stud.
