The race to win the UEFA Champions League is down to just eight teams, with Barcelona (15/8 at Ladbrokes) and Manchester United (3/1), leading the tournament odds. Italian club Inter Milan is the other team expected to challenge for the title, at 7/2 odds.

Of the four match-ups in the quarter-finals, the derby between French sides Olympique Lyonnais and Girondins Bordeaux is shaping up as the toughest to call. Lyon, who finished third in the French league last season, are actually a slight 8/11 favorite to defeat reigning domestic champions Bordeaux (evens) over the two-leg fixture.

Bayern Munich, 13/8, is considered an outside chance to defeat Manchester United, 4/9, in a rematch of the classic 1999 final that was won by the Red Devils.

The other two games offer less interest from a betting point of view: Barcelona, 1/3, is expected to breeze past Arsenal, 11/5; likewise, Inter, 1/3, should have no trouble from CSKA Moscow, 11/5

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is an 11/10 favorite to hold on to win the tournament's golden boot, despite not having the opportunity to take any further part in the tournament due to his team's elimination in the second group stage. Barcelona's Lionel Messi, 9/4, and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, 5/2, are currently tied for scoring for second with seven others in the goal-scoring table, having scored four goals apiece.

The first leg of the quarter finals takes place on March 30 and 31, with the return fixtures one week later on April 6 and 7.
