The fixture has been set for group stage of the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League and Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid head the betting odds for the title.

Reigning La Liga champion Barcelona, which won the Champions League in 2009 but bounced out to eventual champion Inter Milan in the semi-finals in the 2010 tournament, is 5/2.

This and the following odds can be found at the following sportsbooks:

Real Madrid, which has been European champion a record nine time, is 9/2 to win this year's title and wipe away the memory of last season, when it lost to Lyon in the round of 16.

As has come to be expected of a tournament dominated in recent years by Spanish and English teams, the next three in the odds come from England: Chelsea, 11/2, Manchester United, 7/1, and Arsenal, 12/1.

Last year's finalists Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are 12/1 and 14/1 respectively, while AC Milan, 25/1, and Tottenham, 25/1 round out the list of contenders.

In the group odds, Group B is the toughest to predict, with three of the four clubs considered a major chance of finishing on top: last year's French runner-up and Champions League semi-finalist Lyon is 6/5, followed by Germany's Schalke 04, 9/4, and Portugal's Benfica, 9/4. Hapoel Tel Aviv, Israel's sole representative in the tournament, is at long odds at 16/1.

The Champions League group stage gets underway with Matchday 1 on September 14. The final will take place at London's Wembley Stadium on May 28, 2011.
