City Favored to Knock United From FA Cup

The draw for the third round of the FA Cup was released this week, and immediately all eyes fell on two names - Manchester City and Manchester United - who fill face off in a mouth watering clash for sports betting enthusiasts.

The third round ties will take place on January 7-8, but that hasn't stopped speculation from beginning. City, who currently sit atop the English Premier League table, destroyed their arch-rivals 6-1 when they met in late October. Manchester City, who will host the Manchester Derby FA Cup clash, are listed by British online bookmaker William Hill as 11/10 to win the match in 90 mins, and 8/13 to qualify for the next round. United are 2/1 for the match, and 6/5 to qualify. A draw in regulation time, is paying 11/5.

William Hill is offering 1/8 odds on an all-premiership final. Only now will we begin to see what the premiership sides have to offer, as they enter the cup this round. The odds of an all-Merseyside final featuring Liverpool and Everton is 40/1, while an all-London final (which could involve Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Fulham, West Ham and more) is 7/1.
