Two players from opposite sides of the Atlantic won big last week by striking the jackpot at separate online casinos.

In Britain, a player from England's northeast who asked to remain anonymous won an incredible GBP 1,031,982 ($1.65 million) jackpot with a GBP 2.25 bet on Ladbrokes Casino's King Cashalot online slot machine.

A spokesman for the online casino said the man, known as "Mr. S," would receive the prize in one installment and would also be offered financial advice on what to do with his new fortune.

In the United States, an Arizona woman took home a jackpot of $435,000 after winning at Millionaire Casino.

She told the online casino afterward that her teenage daughter immediately asked her for $100 after being informed of her mother's big win.
