Countdown to the Idolo Cup Charity Event

Excitement is building as the kick-off of the Idolo Cup, sponsored by PartyPoker Italy,drawing near. Roosters for the charity event are becoming clearer and new soccer super stars such as Zinedine Zidane, Patrick Vieira and Alberto Aquilani have been added to the line-up.

The objective of the Idolo Cup, in which two all-star sides face-off one another, is to stamp out racism in soccer.The Cup will be held on 21 December in Turin in Italy.

Italian manager, Marcello Lippi, is responsible for the All Star European XI, while Tony Pulis from Stoke City will manage the All Star African XI (even though he's not of African descent himself).

The European XI is expected to include the likes of Pavel Nedved, Giorgio Chiellini, Zinedine Zidane, Alberto Aquilani, Antonio De Natale, Mauro Zarate, Danielle Mannini and Marco Donadel to name a few. The African XI, on the other hand, is scheduled to feature Chelsea and Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba, Salif Diao, Emmanuel Adebayor, Patrick Vieira, Mohamed Lamine Sissoko, Mahamadou Diarra, Kole Toure and many more.
