PokerStars has just launched its first free mobile poker app for the Italian market, available exclusively to local players with a registered iTunes account, according to a report in eGaming Review.

App Features

According to the report, the app allows players to participate in [school/gamesoverview/texas-holdem-poker.php|Texaas Hold'em], Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo cash games and tournaments at all hours of the day and at all levels, limits and table types. The app also includes chat functionality, tutorials guides and FAQs.

Although the app was made exclusively for the Italian online poker market, it is available in several other languages apart from Italian, including English, French, Spanish, German and Russian. It is available for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4e.

Big Italian Market Presence

Poker Stars has been one of the success stories of Italian online gaming since the market was opened up through reforms. PokerStars.it, the company's Italian site, is now one of the 10 largest poker sites in the world according to traffic counters, with thousands of cash game players online during peak hours.

In fact PokerStars, PokerStars.it and French site PokerStars.fr are all in the top seven poker rooms worldwide when ranked by cash game traffic, which shows just how well it is doing in Europe and around the world.
