Cellular and Casino Co. Team Up

Orange will be featuring an online gambling service on its WAP portal in the very near future. This means people on the Orange network in the U.K. will be able to play all their favorite casino games whenever they want.

The Gaming Corporation have teamed up with Orange for the launch of this joint promotion. The interactive mobile online casino will be featuring java games like Blackjack, Roulette, Stud Poker, slots and scratch cards will be launched later this month on the Orange World WAP portal. Players will be able to play the games in fun free mode as well as real wager mode. Deposits can be made via the mobile unit itself.

Deposits will be restricted to valid credit card transactions and age verification will be required. The service will be promoted by both Orange and Gaming Corp. in order to target as large a market as possible. Estimations indicate that the global market for mobile online gambling will grow to over US$8.6 Billion in 2006. This is in accordance with a steady increase of overall online casino growth.

For now it seems that the joint venture is only going to be available to mobile phone users in the UK but since Orange has such a large network worldwide mobile online casinos may be available in other markets, provided it´s legal, in the near future.
