Almost everyone can tell of a winning experience when playing online. Where billions of dollars roll every year, many winners are created with every day passing. But recent developments in the industry have created a new kind of winner. These winners did not have to actually gamble in order to collect the jackpot. They only had to capitalize on surprising business opportunities.

The story goes like this. The United States Congress has recently passed a law banning such operations in the country. The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which was attached to the unrelated Ports Protection Bill, gave a scare to the industry. But not everyone sees it as a threat. Rather, some operators see this as a business opportunity, even a jackpot for the taking.

Among the measures considered by the various companies in the United Kingdom to protect themselves from the industry developments overseas is relocating the business. The sites are pondering relocating their operations to Costa Rica, Antigua and Curacao, and other countries that have less amenable extradition treaties with the United States. An online casino can operate more safely by selling its US operations to a counterpart in the Caribbean. These countries in turn become the big winners of the recent developments.
