Ladbrokes Targets Mobile Punters
Back in 2005 Ladbrokes was one of the first online casinos to make the foray into the mobile gaming market. Their mobile casino has grown to include 15 casino and slots games, all available through iPhones. The large touch screen, great graphics and massive memory make the iPhone an ideal device for mobile gambling. Sports Book on the Move Ladbrokes, ever keen to make the most of modern technology and fit in with punters' busy lives and changing gambling habits, have now launched a sports betting facility. The application, developed by mobile technology specialists, Mfuse, opens out their sportsbook to the rapidly growing number of i-phone users. A Growing Market Ladbrokes report over 25,000 active mobile account holders and point out the growing trend for gambling over the phone. This year has seen a 50% rise in active users and, as iPhones' popularity grows and mobile gaming sites become ever more sophisticated; turnover is predicted to increase further. Easier Access The new service includes features to check out the latest odds in real time, manage gambling accounts, bet in-play and find out the results as they come through. Says John O'Reilly, Ladbrokes Managing Director, Remote Gaming, "Mobile betting and gaming will be a key driver of growth in the sector in the next few years - the Ladbrokes iPhone application is another step forward in making mobile betting and gaming easier to access." |
