Betfair, the online betting exchange operator, will soon join PartyGaming and Sportingbet as its stock will be included in the FTSE250 Index on the London Stock Exchange.

As the date nears - IPO planned for late October, additional steps are made to prepare the IPO. Now Betfair has released an indicative price range. The company's value, with each share at £11.00 to £14.00 per share, is between £1.16 billion and £1.48 billion.

Currently, Betfair is owned by 14 major investors who hold 75% of the company, and its founders own only a quarter.

Betfair Casino

In the past year Betfair Casino has proven innovative and entertaining. Such games as the Zero Lounge, the house advantage narrowed or altogether eliminated, and Instant Play Casino Games counting in the dozens, make it a wise and popular choice of many.

Betfair Sportsbook

But it is the sportsbook alone, at Betfair Sports, that makes it the empire it already is.

Casino and Sports (Poker, Exchange and Arcade Games too) are all tied together on a single platform, accessible to a registered user with the same username and account.

Live Betting, Multiples, Live Video and iPad applications are some of the highlights and reasons that Betfair generates revenues of over £300 million a year and has 823,000 active customers visiting it regularly.

Gambling Value

Other notable large bookmakers include Ladbrokes and William Hill, at £1.25 billion and £1.21 billion respectively, PartyGaming (£1.16 billion) and Playtech (£1.07 billion), which is Betfair's software provider.
