Sweden's Net Entertainment will become one of the first online gaming suppliers in the world to offer licensees disaster recovery services, after being granted a license by the Gambling Control Commission on the Channel Island of Alderney.

The company was approved for a Category 2 license, allowing it to also offer its renowned casino solution to gaming operators such as Victor Chandler.

Net Entertainment CEO Johan Öhman was clearly pleased with the granting of the license, saying that it would now allow his company to move ahead with an important aspect of the gaming business.

"There are today massive values at stake for the leading operators, and that is why we are convinced that recovery solutions will become a key prerequisite for doing business moving forward."

Although just a small island around 100 km off the south coast of England, the British dependency of Alderney has become one of the world centers for eGambling companies.
