Microgaming Launches Android Casino Games
Leading online gaming software provider Microgaming has launched an Android casino games package, making it the first company to make such an offering for the device. Microgaming said it launched the Android gambling app as part of its ongoing enhancement of its casino products. An Industry FirstBetway Casino has already launched the Android casino app in both trial and real-play versions on the Android v2.2 Froyo devices running Adobe Flash 10.1. Now that one online casino has taken up the challenge, it will be interesting to see who else signs up in the hopes of becoming the best Android casino. Microgaming head of casino Mike Hebden said the interest around the new Android casino platform was massive, saying that the Froyo user interface and experience is comparable to the iPhone. "Android has more momentum than any other platform and is largely driving the increased sales of smartphones," he said. "A number of pad style devices will also soon be running Android v2.2."
