Virgin, EA Sports Launch Video Games Betting

Gambling will soon be available on popular household video games such as Madden NFL 11 and FIFA 11 following the announcement of a new deal between Virgin Games and Electronic Arts label EA Sports.

Integrated Tournaments for Games Consoles

Under the agreement the Canadian-based Virgin Gaming, a division of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin brand, will become the official provider of online tournament for EA Sports. This will encompass all head-to-head play, as well as pay-to-enter and sponsored tournament for EA Sports video games.

The Virgin Gaming tournament platform will be integrated directly with selected EA Sports games on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Consoles, with the first tournaments beginning in the coming months.

Launched in June 2010, Virgin Gaming allows competitive console gamers to challenge each other in head-to-head and tournament play for real money.
