The Poker Channel, the European Union's leading online gambling television network, has signed a deal to enter the French market, meaning it is now accessible to more than 30 million homes in 32 European countries.

France Telecom distribution deal

Poker Channel announced that it had signed a distribution agreement with cable TV provider France Telecom, which makes the popular station available to all Orange TV subscribers and to users of France Telecom's online television service.

Thanks to the agreement, the Poker Channel adds 9 million French subscribers to its audience. The channel was already available to the French market through various other cable agreements.

Gaming Media TV, which owns the Poker Channel, said it was delighted with its success in France since changes were made to local gambling laws last year. Managing Director Chris White said the channel had seen a 200% increase in subscribers and revenue thanks to the gambling reforms.

Poker Channel Europe

The Poker Channel was launched in the UK in 2005 and broadcasts 24 hours a day in continental Europe. It screens major poker tournaments such as the WSOP, in addition to news, documentaries, player profiles and instructional series.

It is accessible for online viewing through the Poker Channel Europe website. In addition, it can be viewed via literally dozens of cable companies in almost every country in the EU, and can also be seen in Mexico!
