Sure, Full Tilt Poker is at an all time low, having its operating license suspended this week by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Furthermore, Full Tilt is bound to live in limbo, at least until July 26, when a hearing is scheduled.

In come the sharks. European investors have reportedly shown interest in purchasing the once mighty , currently ailing, poker site.

The deal, as reported in the LA Times, is to acquire a majority stake in Full Tilt Poker's parent company, Pocket Kings, which is based in Dublin.

It is believed that the investors will pay the $150 million or so still owed to players in the US, following the crackdown, which came to be known as Black Friday. Clearing up issues with the US players will surely lead to clearing up issues with Alderney, though these have yet to be clearly stated, and might not be until the hearing takes place later this month.

Poker, Gambling and Investing

This is a prime example, how poker sites are actual, real-world mega-companies. Like other mega-companies, and even real currencies, poker sites are investments.

It is no surprise then that poker players often find excitement and thrills - as well as a profit to be made - at betting exchange sites, online trading, forex currency trading and the like.

It is a matter of time - or a good search on forex trading sites - until the Full Tilt Poker site deal is open for investment by you too.
