Global Survey in Progress

Global Survey in ProgressStarting this week, the eCommerce and online gambling Regulation and Assurance has begun a global survey of players' behaviors and attitudes. eCOGRA is the player protection and standards authority of online gambling and is taking on what seems to be the largest research initiative of its kind, ever.

The survey requests players to voice their opinions and express themselves, and to speak of their experience. eCOGRA hopes to use the survey results to create a better understanding of players' needs and concerns in the business.

What makes a rewarding and safe experience is yet to be clear, but eCOGRA is aiming at being efficient in their survey and address most, if not all of the aspects involved. Covering areas such as poker, player protection, responsible gambling and luck, the survey will be promoted to players via an unprecedented show of support from leading software providers, operators and portals, as well as through eCOGRAs own contact database.

Viewing this project as 'groundbreaking', eCOGRA is looking to maximize participation in order to get clear answers. They believe that results will give gamblers and organizations a better understanding of how the rapidly expanding gaming industry has developed and where it might be heading. Results of the 'eCOGRA Global Online Gambling Report' are due to be launched to the public in January 2007. To view the survey and participate, visit the eCOGRA website.
