Don Johnson has recently been 'outed' as the blackjack supremo who has triumphed over Atlantic City's casinos during the past six months.

Johnson, 49, crushed Caesars for $4.23 million, burned the Borgata Hotel Casino for $5.25 million (over 3 separate wins in a four month period) and then went on to win a cool $5.8 million at Tropicana Casino.

You Win Some, You Lose Some

Johnson played down his blackjack credentials claiming, "There's no magic to this. Eventually, someone would whack them. I'm just glad it was me."

He also admitted to not having a failsafe system,"I'm not bulletproof. I do have some losses in between."

High Roller Strategy

Johnson has been playing blackjack for 15 years and as his proficiency improved he raised his stakes. He puts his wins down to the fact that he has a bankroll that can absorb the losses and still enables him to carry on betting in order to earn it back, high roller style.

Says Johnson, "If you can take the swings, you're going to win. You also have to understand the math." His run of wins turns the tables on casinos, proving that it's not necessarily true that 'the house always wins'.

A Fair Win

The 15 Million Dollar Man insists he doesn't cheat, saying, "I'm beating them with my own skills." It seems it was just his high roller strategy, game tactics, ability to absorb losses and total focus on the end game that proved such a success.

One reason for Johnson's big win at Tropicana was their policy of having high stake tables, enabling him to bet big to win big. This policy is apparently now under review. He also states that he was regularly given 20% discount on his high roller losses.

Sportsbetting Now on the Cards

Johnson's recent requests to play at casinos have tended to be met with caution: he's been banned at the Caesars and Harrah's casinos in Nevada and was turned down by Resorts and Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

But if Johnson is thwarted in his bid to continue playing Blackjack he is not unduly worried. Having worked in the horseracing industry for years he says, "It's not going to change my life. If I don't play blackjack, I'll just go to the horse races."
