This new venture would give online gamblers the ability to game off their home system equipment such as televisions, wireless devices and home computers. The difference in online gaming would be to see actual pictures of video poker machines and other such games rather than playing with software simulations. The market for this new idea reports GameCast is geared towards cruise ships, Indian casinos and resorts, particularly in Nevada. Since GameCast is putting this live gaming venture on the back burner, a spokesperson for the company, Lesley Pittman said, "We are redirecting resources for other programs that we had focused on in the near term."
Station Casinos is in the process of developing two more venues that are of a more traditional nature. One is a tribal casino in the vicinity of Sacramento, California, and the other near Summerlin in Nevada. This will bring the number of casinos; Station Casino has developed in Nevada to nine. The U.S. Department of Justice has sent a letter to Nevada gaming regulators that gambling online is illegal over interstate telephone lines. |
GameCast Live LLC., a division of Station Casinos Inc., a Nevada Gaming Company, has put off plans to establish its live casino gaming venture because of its questionable legality.
