Canada Enters the Online World of Gambling

With the coming of the Internet Industry and gambling sites abroad, it has been theorized that Canada will soon legalize online gambling. However the Criminal Code of Canada restricts the way in witch online gambling is launched.

Local governments are allowed to run Internet gambling but won´t allow offshore sources to participate. Those cities´s that do allow Internet gambling can only bet with places that permit online gambling aswell. Under Canada´s legalization of online gambling, sports´ betting is not allowed. Canada new to the online gambling world is taking baby steps in seeing it through.


It seems that Canada´s inexperience with land based casinos, presents a bigger challenge for them in introducing online gambling. Online Gambling is a whole new entity in itself. Perhaps the prudent measures they are taking are due to the easy access of online gambling, presenting an array of illegalities and addictions occurring.
