Lark Faces Judge Miller
Adjust font size:
The Lark Amusement Corp. was charged last week with illegal gambling activities after authorities found a substantial amount of illegal gambling equipment in their position. On Tuesday, a Bristol Tennessee Company handed over $25,000 to the authorities after confessing to being involved in illegal gambling. However, Lark Amusement Corp. faced Judge Phyllis Miller in Criminal Court that same day after pleading guilty to "a single count of aggravated gambling promotion." The Assistant District Attorney General Gene Perrin said, "This is the second time that a corporation was involved in the supply and repair of machines used to promote illegal gambling activities." The Lark Amusement Corp. said that they would pay a $3,000 fine and $25,000 to the Bristol Police as a plea bargain entered by Lark's attorney Robert Ritchie. Lark will also have to dish out another $2,000 to the County Prosecutor's Office to take care of the costly investigation. |
