Police raided their operations by collecting approximately l50 "casino-style" gaming devices bearing the resemblance to slot machines. Sheriff Randy Geries of Parmer County said that the charges were brought against 3 Farwell firms, Winner´s Touch, Border Games and George's Gold Strike. Each owner faced a charge of promoting and housing activities and possessing items that fit in with this activity.

The owners face a one-year jail sentence and a fine of $4,000.00. It took 9 hours to reign in on this activity after much private investigating took place. The State Attorney General's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety were involved. This is a continued effort by the State of Texas to crack down on illegal gambling operations since the prize money offered by these businesses exceeds the amount allowed by the state.
