Atlantic City and Las Vegas known as long time competitors may in fact have taken the guard off and have found a way to share in their success. Both landmarks hope to provide each other with more traffic, as long as the Spirit flight proves to be a success. Commuters will take off at 6:30 a.m. from Atlantic City International Airport stopping in Detroit for around 2 ½ hours then landing at its final destination at McCarran International in Las Vegas at approximately 11:50 a.m. Pacific Time. Heading back to Atlantic City, the flight takes off from Las Vegas at around 1 p.m. followed by an hour stop in Detroit and landing in Atlantic City at 10:15 p.m.

The low cost of $99 each way allows customers to hit the slot machines in the morning and then roll over to the roulette table on the Las Vegas strip by the afternoon. Spirit is known for its discount and low fee service and considered to be the chief carrier at Atlantic City International, managing around 70% of 830,000 passengers passing through the airport last year.
