Bets are In as Oscars Go on Air

Of course the big bets at the sites are for best actor and best picture but there are plenty of other side wagers being offered.

Brokeback Mountain seems to be the favorite at many sites that are now posting odds and taking bets on the Oscars. Capote, Crash and Munich are also favorites at some of the top wagering sites. Many fans are now finding interest in the bets being made on entertainment events such as the Oscars. But it should also be mentioned that conventional casino games like poker still remain an all time favorite for fans.

Well not only are the operators setting odds for the Oscars but it turns out one site in particular is trying to get its hands on an actual award. Golden Palace, known for its outrageous and nutty publicity stunts, has announced that is will rent Morris Stoloff's 1960 academy award for the fee of $30,000. Said a spokesperson: "We've been trying to buy an Oscar, but the academy's legal agreement clearly states that most of them can't be sold, so we had to think creatively."
