Europe Readies for WSOPBetfair presents the 3rd annual WSOP Europe with big stars and bigger winnings.

The World Series of Poker is the crème de la crème of poker. Come September 17th thru October 1st 2009, the poker world will be set alight with the leading names in the business competing for the ultimate prize.
Four bracelet tournaments - the signature of the WSOP - will be featured in the competition. Among the many attractions taking place is the £2,500 Pot Limit Hold'em/Pot Limit Omaha mixed event that commences September 21st.

The WSOP is among the most highly rated poker competition in the world today. The coveted gold bracelet is a symbol of exceptional poker acumen - skill of the highest order. Four such bracelets are on offer in the European 2009 competition.

Satellites
Leicester Square's Empire Casino venue in London will host the tournament. The casino runs 24/7 and presently offers satellite tournaments for the WSOP Europe. Some of the most astute poker players will grace the tables at the Empire Casino in this year's prestigious event.

Pre-registration for the WSOP Europe is taking place at any London Clubs International (LCI) venue in the UK or at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Betfair Poker is also allowing online entries for qualification into the tournament.

On offer
The new $1 million promotion with free entry will give the WSOP Europe more clout to players worldwide. Entrance to the Casino at the Empire is membership free and multiple cash games and satellite tournaments are scheduled to take place. Top television broadcaster ESPN has exclusive rights for airing the event globally.

18 Betfair poker players will be privy to an exclusive poker players' qualifier. These top players will make their way to London at the WSOP Europe for their stake of the $1 million prize.

Big stars
Names like Brunson, Juanda, Hellmuth, Obrestad and Chan will grace the tables. These folks and countless others will partake in the 4 bracelet events. From (Event 1) the £1,000+ 60 No-Limit Hold'em event, to the £2,500+150 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha mixed event (Event 2). Plus the £5,000 + 250 Pot-Limit Omaha event (Event 3) and finally (Event 4) the £10,000 + 350 World Championship No-Limit Hold'em event.
