Harrah's Interactive Entertainment has clinched a 7 year deal to ensure that the WSOP gets screened via ESPN until 2018.
Players and fans alike will relish the prospect of seeing their favorite stars competing in this, Poker's most prestigious international event. Big fan base Over 82 million poker fans in the United States alone enjoy watching the WSOP annually. Now with the ever-increasing numbers, ESPN is bringing the great game of strategy and skill within reach of a wider global audience. More coverage 32 hours of WSOP action will be broadcast annually from Las Vegas. This includes the Gold Bracelet and the November Nine Final table. An American audience and an international audience will benefit from this extended coverage. Big money game The stakes at the tables have never been higher. To date the WSOP has awarded over $1 billion in prize money since inception in 1970. The tournament's $10,000 No-Limit Texas Holdem event is already world famous. This year the November Nine players will return to the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas on November 7th to compete for a total prize pool of over $61 million.
