In 2008, the UK online gambling market was redrawn on the legislators' table. Only 19 online gambling companies were granted remote gambling licenses by Gibraltar at the time, which, under the then new 2008 Gambling Act, were included on the UK's White List of legit gaming operators.

The original list included 888, William Hill and PartyGaming.

This week mobile gambling company Probability plc has been awarded a similar license for remote gambling by the Government of Gibraltar. The 2 years that have passed show how careful the industry has carried itself since the new law came in place.

Probability's chief operating officer has already moved to Gibraltar, ahead of the company's move from Alderney to Gibraltar.

Continued Growth

Probability has fared well of late, with growth that is expected to benefit from recent legal developments. Total wagers are considerably higher since the iPhone Touch Casino product was released in July.

Probability has also launched a dedicated Android application.
