Who Won £17.8 million Lotto Jackpot?
It can happen to you. Not only can it happen to you, it can happen to you when you least expect it. In fact, when you don't even plan for it. Ask Matthew Breach. Lotto WinnerMatthew Breach, 37, a lorry driver from Battle, East Sussex, stopped one day to buy a pint of milk and filled out a National Lottery ticket. This time his numbers were random, unlike his habit of filling out regular numbers. He matched all six numbers in the Lotto triple rollover jackpot and won the £17.8 million jackpot. Matthew, an accidental multi-millionaire, said: "I stopped to buy a pint of milk on my way home from work and got four lucky dips as well... I do two lines on a Saturday, and two on a Wednesday, which I've always done, and these were just extras." Future PlansLike all lotto winners, Matthew is making plans to spend some of his newly earned cash. First among his plans is to move out from his one-bedroom council flat in Battle and buy a new house. Who was the first person he called? His mother, of course. He then took a nap to clear his head. His mother, Sandra, told The Sun: "It's a shame he doesn't have anyone to share it with." Matthew is single. She added: "But I've told him 'If you get a woman now you'll have to get a pre-nup'." |
A stop to buy a pint of milk ended up with a giant National Lottery jackpot.
