Yahoo! Executive Joins BetfairRaj intends to grow Betfair's mobile customer base & improve products and technology.

Betfair recently announced the appointment of former senior executive from Yahoo - RajVemulapalli - as the new man in charge of growing, designing and developing the Betfair mobile exchange. Raj is the replacement for Charlie Palmer, who recently left his post.

A Solid Pedigree in Hi-Tech Mobile Development


Raj has been involved in Internet business development for 11 years and it was his Yahoo! Messenger technology combined with the mobile messaging service that provided for a successful video & voice chat platform.

Betfair is looking to employ Raj to operate from San Francisco and London for the mobile gaming development initiatives. Mobile betting and mobile gaming are on the rise across Europe and Asia in particular. Nowhere is this more pronounced than Singapore, Thailand and South Korea.

It has been noted that Betfair was one of the pioneers in mobile betting. In fact Apple App stores have provided for this option in iPads and iPhones . And now there's a revenue-sharing system for 3rd party developers using Betfair's API services.
