Alderney Suspends Full Tilt Poker’s License

In a major development, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission has suspended the operating license for Full Tilt Poker. The news was published by EGamingReview and is the top poker news of the day across the web.

Full Tilt Poker is one of the world's largest and most popular online poker sites, but has rubbed off the wrong way on many players, industry insiders, and apparently, most recently, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, when it held back payments following the US crackdown on online poker on April 15, 2011.

Full Tilt has now lost its European license. All games are paused, and cashouts are not available.

Alderney Statement

"The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General's Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation."
