In what appears to be a stunning revelation to online casino players in the USA, Bodog online entertainment announced that as from December the 31st 2011, US-based players will no longer be able to play at any of its branded casinos.

The decision comes on the heels of recent initiatives by the FBI and the US justice authorities to clamp down on unlicensed gaming operators plying their trade in US cyberspace. As a result of the recent announcements, BodogBrand.com has moved its operations offshore in an effort to refocus and develop foreign market potential.

New UK Gambling License

The Bodog UK licensee has now been granted remote/non-remote licenses by the UK Gambling Commission. This will afford them the best opportunities to attract top-tier talent in the industry. The goal is to develop the UK and Asian markets more extensively. This means that come December 31st, US-based players will no longer have access to Bodog.eu and all other Bodog brands.

US Player Interests

The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group is set to re-launch in 2012. It will be licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. Until that time, all US-player funds are 100% safe and secure. US players will have the option to switch to a new Morris Mohawk Gaming group, should they desire. This is perceived to be the catalyst in boosting Bodog's gaming interests in its chosen markets.
