In July 2009, the Tri-State Lottery gave their Megabucks game a major facelift and re-named it as Megabucks Plus with double the starting jackpot, a second prize of $30,000 instead of $10,000 and dramatically improved odds of winning a prize.Megabucks Plus jackpots now start at a guaranteed $1 million and the probability of winning it is 1 in 4,496,388. Every Wednesday and Saturday evening five numbers from 1 to 41 are drawn plus one Megaball which is a number 1 through 6.
