Natural

Another term for a win in Craps, a 7 or 11 rolled on the initial, come out roll.

Also a two card hand in Blackjack that equals 21.

Near Miss

A 'near miss' is the frustrating experience of playing on a slot machine and when the reels stop spinning, you see that you were one reel symbol away from winning the jackpot.

No Cash Plays

A rule in table stakes games that requires players convert their cash into chips before play begins and will be accepted. Also known as No Money Plays

No Limit

A game where there is no maximum amount of money or chips that a player is allowed to wager.

Noncontact Game

A stage in a Backgammon game where all checkers have passed the opponent's checkers, so that no further hits are possible.

Number-way Straight

This is a straight draw with a specific number of outs. Where a hand has four of the required cards to make a straight and one of the remaining cards in the deck would complete the straight, it is said a player has a '(insert number here) way straight".

Nut

The minimum amount of money or chips a player is expected to win which is their breaking even point. It can also describe the best possible hand of a specific rank.
